the worlds of a self-profesed prophet and emissary
but what can i say when all your words offer is nothing but sympathy

crazy strung out on her ever-lasting high/
she falls from the cold concrete up to the sky/
mesmerized passerby stare and wonder why/
at the crooked, bent native woman crawling up to the sky/

somebody’s grandson or granddaughter,
aunty or uncle,
sister or brother or both,
walking the streets with their heads to their knees,
Recovering after a drunk.
