OFF THE STREETS
Well it will be one year Apr.1 that I have been off the streets. I moved to Edmonton AB from Kamloops BC in 2000 a few months after moving there I recived a 25000$ ICBC claim from a biking acident I got into 2 years prier. A few months after getting this money every thing started to turn to SHIT for me I got into doing E and then that nasty ass dirty bitch CRYSTAL METH. I lost my place I was broke and didnt know who to turn to or what the fuck I was going to do with myself my health wasnt the greatest I was having granmal seizers once to twice a month from the drugs and the bad head injury I got from the acident. I was in and out of jail living on peoples couches or sleeping in parkades and squats. Finaly in 2004 when I got out of jail I was like fuck this shit I need to get the hell out of here Febuary 2005 I had saved up enough money for a bus ticket back to BC. I moved to Vancouver not really knowing exactly what I was going to do here. A year later I got involved with a harm reduction outreach program called Crystal Clear a peer to peer suport program on crystal meth. Its now 2008 im 27 8 years after I moved to Methmonton my health is alot beter im clean off meth im just smoking my green I now work for homelessnation.org here in Vancouver and im also the coordinator of an outreach program with the A.R.Y.S. project the At Risk Youth Study. Ya im off the streets but I will never turn my back on those that are still homeless I will always be there for others who need the help.....
