With No Place to Go, Man Chooses Jail
Portsmouth, NH - Jamaine Makepeace made some trouble Monday evening at a Dunkin' Donuts in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Unable to stay at the local shelter, and with no one willing to help him, the homeless 27 year-old was desperate for a place to sleep. So he tossed a rock through the store window and waited for the police.
"I had no shoes and my feet was really hurting. I had no place to go and I can't walk on the highway and I can't go to the mission and I can't walk in the neighborhood."
He has been charged with a felony count of criminal mischief as well as a Class A misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.
Makepeace, who has had run-ins with the law before, apologized to the court and told the judge that he has schizophrenia.
He had been barred from the Crossroads House homeless shelter in Portsmouth for unknown reasons.

I'm so sad to hear his story. I never thought how would be for me to live on the streets. I hope he'll receive the help that he need and he'll find a permanently shelter. Hoteluri Bucuresti
