Storage space in Vancouver

One of the big problem with homelessness is that some of the solutions don't always take into account the big picture and don't acknowledge key issues.

This is the case of the "Assistance to Shelter Act" that has been introduced in British Columbia. This law will force homeless people into shelters during extreme winter weather. But this law doesn't take into account the fact that if some people don't want to go to shelters is because they don't want to abandon their cart with all their belongings. if there was more place to store carts, then maybe there would be more people willing to go into shelter

here is an interesting article about the Assistance to Shelter Act

Here are a few places I've found that might have shelter storage place in Vancouver where you can store your cart cheaply:

First United Church
201 Central
the Stanley New Fountain
1435 Granville
Portland Hotel Society

hope every one gets to spend the winter in a warm environment and find a place to safely store their belongings
