Shambhala 2009
Well its that time of year again for my anual trip up to Salmo BC for Shambhala...This year is going to be alittle differant than past years...I will be team leader in the Sanctuary tent for all those who dont know what Shambhala is its a four day music festival in the BC Kootney's or as alot of people see it as its a big drug fest..Hence the reason there is a Sanctuary tent...My job will be Psycrisis were there to step in between that fine line before someone slips into psycosis from doing to many drugs its basicaly a chill out place somthing that is needed at a gathering like this...For exampal in 2007 I had to deal with a youth who had never done acid but he was selling it nobody told him dont touch blotter paper with your bear hands he ended up handeling the equivalency of 20 hits of acid I had to deal with the guy for 5 hrs going off about Nintendos ,DNA and Fractals...Well I have to go I will have more stories about the chill out tent when I get back PEACE

You said it well. There is indeed a fine line between chilling out during some festival and slipping into psychosis for having had too many drugs. And this, my friend, is the edge where young people are a step away from losing it. This and many other life experience examples are being dealt with during Sacramento drug rehab programs. Therapy techniques used at the center give a whole new life perspective to those who submit to it.
