Homes for Everyone!

There are a great deal of people who came to Alberta during the boom and still there are arrivals. The land was plenty of jobs and prosperity but there was one thing lacking...HOUSING. So you got people with jobs just no place to live. And to make matters worse there were condo conversions all over the place,so the vacancy rate for apartments was one percent. And the price of renting is becoming out of reach for many people. Now landlords can raise the rent once a year, to whatever they want! People were seeing their rent go up like seven hundred bucks a month and no improvements being made to the premise in which they lived. So a word of warning to those trying to make it in Alberta...better book your accomodations or rental arrangements months in advance or you might be living in a tent even though you work two jobs.
