I dont remember what it is to choke
I forget the pen and paper feel:

Yesterday moments wrapped in foil

Heat of summer days
Castles in the sand
Sun evaporates the gloom
Mother laughs, I smile

Brown paper bag
Paper airplane
Glass tumbling in the tide
Sands of yesteryear

Leaf floats to the ground
Faking passing grades
Life descends
alone

Living for the now:

Icicle palace in the snow
Snow angel run away
Fair lady will save
My childhood crown

All I've ever known,

Countless nights, teary eyed
Under a bathroom light
Strange hand on my back
Making up for that which I lack

Rat race never ending
Big decision pending
Something which I'd known
Instead.
