The 'temporary shelter' saga continues....

Local photographer Pete Rockwell took photos at Centennial Square, where David Johnson & David Shebib where arrested for setting up temporary shelter....

Thurs. AM:
Victoria City Council passes bylaw enforcement policy as new bylaw

Fri. Am:
David Johnston and David Shebib build cardboard structure under redwood tree in Centennial Squar;
Bylaw officers issue warnings; warnings are ignored

Sat. AM:
Two Davids issued tickets- no arrests

Sun AM:
Two Davids issued second ticket- no arrests, they anticipate possible arrest after three tickets (Mon)

Mon 8:30AM:
Two Davids issued third ticket

9:45AM:
David Johnston and David Shebib are arrested for multiple bylaw citations (non-criminal offense)

3:00PM they are released with conditions. Trial on Thursday 9:30 AM court 201

I guess 8 uniformed men were needed to remove two....
