South Park meets Homeless Nation - Night of the Living Homeless Pt.3
South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone often tackle contentious issues with fervor, wit and reckless abandon. The reckless abandon part has it's fans and it also has it's enemies. Their mandate is to simply find a subject mired in some sort of societal/political taboo and ridicule it on T.V.
The Gathering Place workshop that we have every Friday at 3 PM is often a great platform for debate and opinion. One recent workshop directed our collective attention to a 2007 episode of South Park called "Night of the Living Homeless". We grabbed a copy and as a group, sat down and reviewed it the next week.
There were laughs as well as statements... "harsh!" was one I remember hearing a few times. We all decided that we wanted to make a parody of this parody, with some of the GP group supplying the voice-overs. Everyone gave their opinions on where we should edit and where we should change dialogue.
Here is the culmination of those efforts. There are 3 parts to this cartoon due to it's size.
We have also included an alternate ending.

This joint the fact I beleive: Vancouver and Montreal are not the worst place for homelessness but why the other cities don't take there responsability about this situation and why the drug addict prefered Vancouver and Montreal ?
