Refuge seekers visiting Mont-Royal
If there is a connection between homeless people and refuge seekers in Canada is that many of them have their civil rights denied. They are not considered citizens and, in most of the cases, they are victims of discriminatory laws. Their cases are processed for more than a year, and the uncertainty of their status carry different levels of stress and psychological problems. If they don't keep their mouth shut and head down, they can be deported or sent to the Laval Immigration Detention Center (Centre de prévention de l'immigration de Laval")
This is part of a series of clips related to the other Homeless Nation, the "Refugee Nation".
