ok bitches here goes. ya ive been in vancouver for like six months and its the same old strugel for me not drugs not work just housing and people. I came here for the wrong reasions i know but i should still be able to get it to gether just like anywhere else. ok ok so i didnt exactly try to get my shit together when i first got here i was having fun did that for like three months and that was cool but its getting cold and i want in side . ive done it before and it should be easy just get on welfair get a place get a job pay rent got to resoprses for food uand shit till i make enuf money to support my self and have the things you need to live on your own ie.. towels, toster, cups, bols plates pots pans ect, ect,. but this time (silly me) i thought i could do it without welfair so far not going so well. so i waited and waited for something to happen (witch sometimes happens) and bam i got an oppertunity to make Quick cash easy and it was easy quick and i made cash but. K so knew that if i had money it should be easy to get a place and that other shit so i banked it and waited oh dont get me wrong i spent money i had to party a little bit but i put aside enuf to get a place and shit $1600 i figured two months rent would be like $500 a month plus deposit $500 witch gave me $100 leway. so i went out on a search. first i knew i did not want roommates and im prety clean so i dint mind a S,R,O my own i could do what i want is all i wanted. nothing noone would take cash only welfair so i got kinda discoraged spent some more money looked agen nothing every one says oh try craigs list.to be contiued

thanks for blogging spy, i think you point out something that get's ignored. people are homeless for a variety of reasons and it is not an easy task to get housing (especially in this city with a .3% housing vacancy rate). you are a smart guy, capable of working, with cash to get a place and yet...you dont have one. i think many people dont get this, dont understand the difficulty in obtaining housing.

housing is the first step toward stability. it is pretty hard to get a job without housing and yet the first thing people like to say is 'get a job'. it is this ignorance that shows just how little people know about the difficulty on transitioning off the street.

i hope you have some luck finding housing, i am here if you need any help. chin up spybot.

Yes Janelle housing does provide stability but thats not always the case I have a place to stay and I am a mess right now I have no job I am in the middle of a crisis but spy don't let my disagreeing with Janelle discourage you keep ya head held high but remember that housing doesn't make things easier all the time.
PEACE,LOVE,HAPPINESS, what we all need!!!!!!!
