I'd say Jeff puts it quite well.

Great clip shrub.

I agree - Jeff puts it very well. Good for him that he is able to work part-time. He is lucky.

Across the country housing is becoming more and more expensive. More and more Canadians are using a higher percentage of their paycheck to pay for rent. What to do when you can't pay the rent and for food, clothing, heating?

A huge percentage of Calgary's homeless have jobs. They either can't afford the rent, or they can't find housing. It's not a matter of being lazy. It's about a lack of services.

Jeff is fortunate to be able to find work. Many people can't. It can be hard for people with savings in the bank, a roof over their head and a social support network to land a job.

If you don't have a clean suit for a job interview, a place to shower, references, a CV, a phone number where to receive calls, or if you haven't had a decent meal and good night's sleep for weeks - how are you supposed to compete? How can you walk into a business and be expected to be taken seriously.

Many people believe that the homeless should work harder at trying to improve their lives. It's just not that easy.

In big depression! I did not pay my rent few times.
