Missing From:: Richmond BC Richmond: On August 14th, 2008 at approximately 415 am, the Richmond RCMP were called to the south end of Riverport Way, for a possible drowning. The female complainant advised that she had been swimming with her friend, and could not find him. She last saw him in the water in the vicinity of the dock. This was not a designated swimming area. Police commenced the search for 17 year old, Harnake “Nick” OLAK, shortly after confirming he was last seen in the water. The Coast Guard, RCMP Helicopter, and the RCMP Dive Team have been searching the area and will continue to do so for the next few days. At this time police do not have any information that would suggest that Nick left the water. Anyone who may have seen anything or anyone who will be in the area is asked to keep their eye out for Nick and contact the Richmond RCMP immediately. The family has also been searching the area and are also appealing to anyone who frequents the area to assist in any way they can.
