Seen the little art scene in this town?
Run by real estate
The china-tea-set
Their grin - a fresh face lift
It would be beneath them
To frown.

It’s the protest all around
With this housing shortage
That makes it not difficult
To feel down.

Two hours at some meeting
Listening to socialist blether
Well, I’m staring through the window
Looking at the bloody weather.

Two hours!
They manage to get a design for a poster
A couple of words decided
Bugger – it’s a surprise to me
How they even got this far.

Good job
None of this is prostitution
It would be a fortune
Them getting paid by the hour.

I think I’ll get my dream-stick out
Get my flying boat out
Take a trip to the nearest star
And their f—king wonderful
Pink sun-glasses
I want to paint them - with tar.
