The situation on Pandora has
grown in the last two years.
The neighborhood has been taken over by the street community. The rain has been
with us all of today. Where
else can these people go? I
show compassion for these IV drug users but overall they
need serious medical help.
The people need stable homes. This is a crisis that
never seems to see a happy
ending. I have met several
of these folks and they are
not aggressive. The whole
idea should be this: The government finds the funding. Gives it to a rehab facility in BC. The people
who need it most get the help. I really want to see
this happen and soon...

I hope that all of the anti-poverty groups can
"get on the same page." This is a very complicated
issue because there is a group of homeless people
who are high risk and living an unstable life.
I feel that the government is not doing enough.
This issue started a long time ago and it won't
go away overnight. People on the street need help.
It's too bad that "Cory" did not get medical attention
from the correct facility. He could have been living
with his dog {red nosed pitbull} and things would
have been good! I don't have all of the answers.
But I know that mental illness and addiction need
to be addressed in this city ASAP.
