How about this as another topic. Cause a few of you know we here in Victoria have been fighting the governemnt and everyone who chooses to challenge us on this issue ad at this point we are winning. In fact our court case is just over two years old and we are now set to go to supreme court on Jan9 &10. The court case is a carter challenge so this means when we win we will have done it for everyone in all of Canada. Because we have done it using the constituent. Should we win this round then we are set to go to trial for five days from the week of Jan 27 to Feb 2

Obviously we need very immediate solutions to homelessness & we've discussed this issue extensively.
However, what about a solution that would resolve the entire issue? So why not implement a guaranteed livable income for everyone? I don't consider this solution far fetched at all, it's a concept that's been around for a long, long time.
There's an excellent website all about it entitled Livable Income For Everyone LIFE.
In the meantime, we need immediate life affirming remedies, not piecemeal housing projects that don't begin to cover the actual need for housing for everyone.
And obviously we need our own land. However, in lieu of land entitlement for everyone, the crown could at the very least, let us make use of their unused crown land in order to establish tent cities for people who have no other options available to them.
I'd also like to see squatters rights established. Squatters rights have worked in the Netherlands and there's no reason why they won't work here.
thanks also for the website address on this subject.thanks for contributing..cheers.JH
