Homeless Man Freezes to Death

It is with sadness that I inform the community that on Thursday January 5th 2006 our street outreach worker discovered the body of Alexander Arthur Enever. Alex was 42 years old. Alexander was living outside near the train tracks behind 103-105 Westlodge Ave. Late last week the coroner identified the cause of death as hypothermia. PARC has a street outreach worker funded three days per week by the City of Toronto and who was visiting the site from time to time. Alex had not been seen at the site since November 23rd and was not present during the last site visit on December 15th 2005.
PARC mourns this loss of life.
The need for affordable and accessible housing as well as appropriate supports is once again tragically hammered home with this announcement.
