Joycraft is a tribe of environmentalist, survivors of the streets,
musicians, artists, homeless and housed
We are setting up a camp in the Kootenays
for the homeless family in victoria
of whom I know many personally.
The reality faced homeless in Victoria today
is truly harsh,
the Olympic Sweep is truly in full force
There is a sore in my heart remembering the unneccessary suffering caused
directly due to the Victoria Mayor and Council's decisions,
which over ruled the BC Supreme Court decision of June 2008
which statee
"the homeless could erect temporary shelters"
Victoria Police awaken people at 7 AM
Victoria Police awaken people at night with guns in Beacon Hill Park,
The Victoria Mayor Dean Fortin and Victoria City Council
hired Chief Jamie Graham, who " was good to the homeless,
in the Vancouver downtowneastside",,and
also Graham was hired in spite of the fact, that
"he obstructed the investigation into torture.
and, compile that information, with the sound effects of living in Victoria...
sirens going for hours each day,
everyday seeing people I know who have just gotten out of city cells, beaten, ...
everyday being attacked at night by some crazed soul...
It is time for change, it will come from ourselves.
To remain in Victoria is to face daily danger. Extreme danger.
People can go to Duncan on the bus for 8 dollars, by train for fifteen.
There are 24 hour a day services for the homeless in Duncan.
People need to know there are alternatives.

Greetings and update on our journey...
Our focus has been culled.
By the attitude and inuendo and slander
Directly Due to calling our land
a Camp for Street People to come and live.
This has been narrowed down to the following...
We are not prepared at this time to offer any shelter to anyone.
We are simply not ready.
There is a massive amount of work to do to rebuild our home.
and, we have enough support from our own friends and family members.\
This past winter in Trail BC I have met many supportive people.
This truly is an amazing community overflowing with kindness.

we have gotten to know our neighbours on the land.
and
soon, our story will go on utube.
It's a story ...of a journey....of a family.
Nothing out of the ordinary, common to all who are shelterless
and tramatized by the "system".

Boonies, um, road access is pretty long for a walker; is there a shortcut foot-trail more or less as the crow flies across Columbia Gardens Rd.?
