This is an amazing discount for people that travel often between Duncan and Victoria, because if you travel in a year more than five times it`s cheaper to have a bus pass for $45. After I bought my son a car from used car West Palm Beach, he travels a lot between Duncan, the city where we live, to his sister that lives in Victoria. Now my car is being repaired due to some engine problems, and I am thinking seriously to buy a bus pass for me and my wife, because we used to visit our daughter often, and with this discount we could visit her every day!
It's great that we now have a BC Transit Commuter Bus Duncan to Victoria but I think that a single route per day each way, Monday - Friday is not enough, and some of the elderly can't take a bike. A possible solution would be to encourage car donations. There are a lot of people who no longer use their cars but continue to pay taxes for them while the cars are slowly becoming unusable.

Although the initiative is great and it's something necessary, we shouldn't stop here. The authorities have began the process of helping the people who have to travel this distance, but just as kci15 said, it's not enough. It's very true that some auto donations would be the perfect solution, but we have to be realistic and think how many people would actually do this. Instead of this, maybe having a fund raiser would do much good!
My opinion is that maybe we should involved more people in helping with public transportation. I know that many used car dealers Manchester NH would love to be involved and maybe even advertise their business. What do you think?
